With 770,000 uninsured Coloradans, there’s little argument that we’ve got a health care problem that ranges from Fruita to Holyoke. Last year the legislature created the Blue Ribbon Commission for Health Care Reform to come up with solutions--without bankrupting the state.
Do you have ideas about how we can extend health insurance coverage to all Coloradans? The Commission wants to hear from you. Download Solicitation for Health Reform Proposals from the Commission’s site and make sure you submit it by April 6, 2007.
Just want to stay informed? The Commission will host community meetings in Denver on March 22 from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. and in Alamosa, Colorado Springs, Grand Junction and Greeley on Saturday, March 24 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. These meetings will give you the chance to learn more about the Commission’s work and to provide input regarding the criteria for evaluating proposals.

It would be very helpful is the Commission would keep its website up-to-date. None of the meetings you identify are listed on the "Activities" page of the site. In fact, nothing is listed. I was left with the impression that the Commission really doesn't want imput from the public.
Also, it would be nice if they had a place to post comments on the Commission's work in general and the specific proposals. Often, comments are merely filed away where it takes a lot of effort to find them. Why not post them to the website where everyone can see them.
Finally, how about minutes of meetings and even better recordings of meetings. Then we can all see what work the Commission is doing.
Good ideas; I emailed your comments directly to the Commission at 208commission@comcast.net.

I got a reply from Anita at the Commission (along with permission to post her reply). She said, "I plan to update the site soon with additional details regarding the community meetings later this month."
